Under Eye Puffiness Treatment

Taking diuretics also helps in reducing under eye puffiness. If, in the other hand, you have allergies leading to the swelling, antihistamines and other anti-allergic therapies can be used along with diuretics to reduce the puffiness under your eyes. But for the treatment to be effective, you need to avoid the allergens.

Some people prefer to go natural to eliminate their under eye puffiness. When used regularly, these home remedies can be more effective in treating under eyes puffiness. They also attack the underline causes of the problem with no side effects. Here are several home remedies that can be used to reduce the puffiness under eyes: 

  • Keep a cold compress over your eyes for 10 minutes or more 
  • To immediately reduce under eye puffiness, use a concealer; this can also instantly hide dark circles and fine lines
  • Soak tea bags in water and keep them on your eyes for a few minutes. 
  • Sometimes merely splashing cold water over face can also help. 

Prevention is always better than treatment; under eye puffiness can be prevented. First, you need to identify and avoid products that cause allergies. Use pillows when you’re sleeping. Finally, reduce the intake of salty foods and get adequate sleep every night to prevent under eye puffiness.
